Who we are
Little Olive baby castings is Based in Chelmsford Essex, offering a baby casting keepsake for you to love and cherish. Having two young children myself, it was always really important to me to have my children’s hands and feet cast as newborns, they are only little once and grow so quickly. To me this is one of my most treasured possessions, I look at them and cannot believe how tiny they once were.
Since then I have been very passionate about being able to create the same keepsake for others that I adore myself. Babies grow so quickly, casting is the perfect way to capture all of those tiny creased hands and wrinkly toes, creating a casting that you can keep forevermore.
Every casting is taken using an alginate material which is non toxic and perfectly safe for those sensitive fingers and toes. Each casting is made personal to every individual with each casting being completely different from the last. There are different framing options, displays and colours available to suit every taste. After your casting is taken I’ll hand sculpt to make sure all of the tiny details in the hands and feet are perfectly preserved.

How It Works
01. Arrive At The Studio
Castings take place at my studio from home and take around 40/60minutes.
02. Taking The Mould
The mouldings are taken safely and quickly in a calm environment with the moulding setting in minutes, babies can sometimes be a bit wriggly, but this isn’t a problem.
03. Make It Personal
I have displays of castings showing types of frame style, layout and casting colours available.
04. Casting
Once the mouldings are taken, I get to work casting the moulds.
05. Hand Sculpting
These are then hand sculpted to show every wrinkle and crease captured in the casting.
06. Painting & Framing
Once dried they are then sealed, airbrushed and framed.
